This PROFIBUS slave module, a PROFIBUS DPV0 slave, can be used as an MST32 module bus master.
A passive bus coupler for up to 64 MST32 modules is created. Only one MST32 PBS module can be used and must be the second module after the power adapter.
The bus coupler recognizes the connected modules at starting, automatically creates a PROFIBUS configuration and matches the I/O modules' in- and outputs to the process image data.
MST32 PBS connects the PROFIBUS fieldbus to the MST32 modules and supports all PROFIBUS baud rates up to 12 MBaud at a minimum slave cycle time of 1 ms.
The connection status and cyclical data transfer are indicated by LEDs.
