The line simulator LS20.01 realizes a precision line replication of VDSL standards compliant with ITU-T G993.1 and ITU-T G993.2, Annex F. It is used to test telecommunication systems and simulates access lines.
In the case of the VDSL2+ line simulator, passive replications of access lines are used to simulate up to 1500-meter lengths of the line in 5 meter increments. This is for the simulation of 0.4 PE copper wires. An exact approximation of electric characteristics such as impedance, effective attenuation, phase response and group delay during the transfer of signals can be achieved. The integrated USB or RS232 remote control allows effective control of running tests.
The simulation of the lines is realized by a cascaded connection of quadripole structures. Each quadripole simulates a segment of the line. Special procedures were used to optimize the different segments of the line simulator.
As we expand our range of products, simulators with integrated noise generators will also be available.
The device is manually operated using the buttons on the front panel next to the backlit display. Two RJ-45 (IN / OUT) sockets are located on the back panel for line interfaces.
Standard accessories
USB cable 1.8m
RS232 interface cable
External power adapter (EG)
Operating manual
PC software for remote control
Optional accessories
2 CAT6 cables, 2 m
