Research projects

Together with our partners from science and research we are working on several national and international research projects.

Currently running projects:

CECC - Cool Energy Car Communication

Options of energy saving in the vehicle by using of Car2Car and Car2X communication based on the IEEE 802.15.4 wireless communication

Project duration: 2010-2014

TwisNet - Trustworthy wireless industrial sensor network

European project for development of a security framework for  wireless sensor networks intended to detect attacks or manipulation attempts; they shall be encountered automatically following predefined rules or manually by an operator.

Project duration: 2010-2013

coordinator - ubiquitary sensor and information system for firefighters

Improvement of communication and cooperation processes between breathing protection troops and superordinate executive personnel by applying an IEEE 802.15.4 network.

Project duration: 2011-2014

CPTI - Cool Public Transport Information

Development of a solution for a reliable Be-In and Be-Out detection of passengers in vehicles of public transportation using a couple of different procedures such as e.g. localization in IEEE 802.15.4 networks, image recognition and inertial sensor technology.

Project duration: 2011-2014

Already finalized projects

RoSeNet - Development of methods and procedures for the establishment of robust and functional reliable wireless sensor-actuator networks

Until beginning of the year a test platform under the project name RoSeNet has been developed together with the Fraunhofer Institut IIS in Dresden; using this platform wireless sensor networks with up to 1,000 nodes can be modeled and simulated. Using the gained knowledge the stability and reliability of networks of such a scale shall be improved. more information
