deRFmega128

The low-power radio modules of the deRFmega128 series use Atmel´s single chip solution. The transceiver is integrated in the microcontroller. The modules are especially suited for battery-operated end devices, but at the same time offer enough resources to be used as routers or coordinators as well. 

The two plug connectors’ 46 pins provide full access to all functions of the ATmega128RFA1. A distinguishing feature is the additional 1 Mbit EEPROM. This allows OTA (over-the-air) firmware updates without additional components (depends on the software used).

Versions

The modules are available as pluggable or solderable versions with either a U.FL jack or an integrated chip ceramic antenna. Because of the U.FL connection, the module can be installed in a metal case with the antenna attached externally. The pin-compatible version is suited to small sensors and shorter distances.

Software

All radio modules feature a wireless UART and are ready to use. Our modules are supported by IEEE 802.15.4 MAC, 6LoWPAN and ZigBee PRO Software Stacks for your own developments. You can find more information about available stacks under  Software

Our deRFmega128 radio modules are CE conform and certified by ETSI and the FCC, so they can be used worldwide.
